WHAT IS LEATHER?+
Leather is a natural material crafted from carefully selected animal hide, valued for its strength, supple hand, and the patina it develops with time and use.
Leather Care +
Cleaning frequency
Leather is a natural material and requires careful handling. Clean only when necessary, or approximately every two to three months. Before use or cleaning, remove surface dust with a soft, dry cloth.
Cleaning
The method depends on the leather type. Avoid excess water and all harsh chemicals, as these may cause dryness or cracking. For aniline and semi-aniline leather, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild, non-alkaline soap made for leather. Work gently and sparingly. Always test on a small, hidden area first.
Machine wash
Do not machine wash. Water, heat, and friction will cause permanent damage.
Ironing
Do not iron.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place with air circulation, away from direct light. Maintain the natural shape of the item; fill bags if needed to preserve form and prevent creasing.
Maintenance
Inspect regularly to prevent wear and damage.
WHAT IS CASHMERE +
Cashmere is a rare natural fibre sourced from the undercoat of select goats, primarily raised in regions such as China and Mongolia, valued for its exceptional softness, lightness, and warmth.
CARE +
Hand wash
Wash in cold water using a detergent for wool, diluted shampoo, or a small amount of conditioner. Work quickly and gently. Rinse several times in cold water until clear. Do not wring—press out excess water and roll the item in a clean towel. Lay flat on a dry towel to dry, away from heat. Use white towels to avoid colour transfer.
Machine wash
If machine washing is preferred, place the item in a washing net or pillowcase. Use a wool detergent and select a cold wool cycle. Do not exceed 600 rpm.
Drying
Always dry flat on a towel, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Reshape while damp.
Ironing
Ironing is rarely needed. If required, turn inside out and use low heat with minimal steam. Place a cloth between the iron and the garment. Steam from a humid room can also release creases.
Storage
Store clean, folded, and in a dry place away from light. Keep away from rough surfaces and items with zippers or Velcro to prevent damage.
Pilling
Pilling is natural over time. Remove gently with a lint roller or cashmere comb.
WHAT IS WOOL? +
Wool is a natural fibre sourced from the fleece of sheep and goats, valued for its insulating warmth, resilience, and soft, structured hand.
CARE +
Hand wash
Wash in cold water, gently, without rubbing or wringing. Use a mild detergent for wool or a small amount of hair shampoo. Add a few drops of white vinegar to the final rinse. Rinse carefully and press out excess water without twisting.
Machine wash
Place the garment in a washing net or pillowcase. Use a wool detergent and select a wool cycle with cold water. Do not exceed 600 rpm.
Drying
Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a dry towel. Lay flat on a clean towel and reshape while damp. Allow to dry naturally, away from heat sources.
Ironing
If needed, iron inside out using low heat with minimal steam. A steamy environment can also help release creases without direct heat.
Storage
Store clean, folded, and in a dry place away from direct light. Avoid contact with rough surfaces or items with zippers or Velcro to prevent damage.
Pilling
Pilling may occur over time. Remove gently with a lint roller or a wool comb.
WHAT IS SILK? +
Silk is a noble natural fibre formed by silkworms during the cocoon stage, composed of continuous filaments prized for their smooth surface, fluid drape, and natural lustre.
CARE +
Hand wash
Soak in lukewarm water for up to five minutes. Use a detergent made for silk or a mild soap. Treat stains gently. Rinse in clean lukewarm water by lifting and lowering the garment—do not wring or twist. Remove excess water by rolling in a clean towel.
Machine wash
Hand washing is preferred. If using a machine, select a delicate or hand wash cycle with no spin. Use a silk-specific detergent and place the item in a protective laundry net. Do not use fabric softener. Remove immediately after the cycle.
Drying
Lay flat between clean towels to absorb moisture, then air dry flat away from sunlight and heat. Do not twist.
Ironing
Iron inside out on the lowest heat setting. Use a cloth between the iron and the fabric. Press lightly without holding heat in one place.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, dark place. Maintain shape with proper support and avoid exposure to fluctuating temperatures.
WHAT IS LINEN +
Linen is a natural fabric made from flax fibres, valued since ancient times for its strength, breathability, and cool, dry feel.
CARE +
Hand wash
Wash in warm water up to 30°C using a detergent for linen or delicate fabrics. Soak for up to 30 minutes, moving the garment gently. Rinse in warm water. Do not wring—press out excess water against a flat surface.
Machine wash
Wash at up to 40°C on a short or gentle cycle. Use a detergent for delicate fabrics. Avoid fabric softener. Reduce or skip spinning to limit creasing.
Drying
Air dry when possible to reduce shrinkage. Tumble drying is possible on low heat, but natural drying is preferred. Handle blended fabrics with extra care.
Ironing
Iron while slightly damp on a high setting if needed. Linen can also be worn without ironing depending on the finish.
Storage
Fold along natural seams to avoid deep creases. Store in a cool, dry place with air circulation, or hang carefully to maintain shape.
WHAT IS COTTON? +
Cotton is a natural fibre sourced from the cotton plant, selected for its soft hand, breathability, and enduring presence in refined garment making.
CARE +
Hand wash
Wash in warm water up to 30°C using a detergent for cotton. Soak for up to 30 minutes, moving the garment gently. Rinse in warm water. Do not wring—press out excess water against a flat surface.
Machine wash
Wash at a maximum of 30°C on a cotton or gentle cycle. Do not exceed 800 rpm. Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colours to reduce fading.
Drying
Air dry when possible. Hang the garment carefully and shape it while damp to maintain form. Avoid direct sunlight for coloured items.
Ironing
Iron if needed. Cotton tolerates higher heat; use a medium to high setting (150–200°C).
Storage
Store clean and folded in a dry place, away from direct light to preserve colour and shape.
WHAT IS VISCOSE?+
Viscose is a refined cellulosic fibre, developed from natural sources such as wood pulp, bamboo, agricultural by-products, or recycled materials, and transformed through a controlled process to achieve a smooth, fluid finish.
CARE +
Hand wash
Turn the garment inside out and wash in cool water using a detergent for delicate fabrics. Treat stains gently by hand. Rinse in cold water and press out excess moisture without wringing.
Machine wash
Wash inside out at 30°C on a delicate or cold cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softener. Place the garment in a protective laundry net to reduce friction.
Drying
Lay flat or hang to dry, reshaping while damp. Avoid tumble drying and direct sunlight, as this may cause shrinkage or fading. Do not leave the garment crumpled.
Ironing
Iron inside out on a low setting without steam. Smooth the fabric gently while reshaping. Creases often release during drying.
Storage
Store folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged hanging, as this may cause the garment to stretch.
